In an experimental setup, the locomotion of a robot is made audible. The robot orientates itself via infrared light. The device, which is placed on the ears, adds an extension to the auditory system, which makes it possible to translate the spectrum of infrared waves into the range audible to humans.

This translation is used to approximate and train communication in order to develop a new language together. This approximation is not to be equated with any new coding.
